The Power of Half
Tonight's meeting of the Ladies Literary League was another success! We had wonderful food, fabulous conversations, interesting white elephant gifts and shared many laughs :) We decided on March's book... The Power of Half. I am soooo excited to read it and I already know I will be looking for ways to cut back the things I don't really need. We haven't been very good about planning an activity outside of book club so next month we're doing them together! In an effort to cut back unnecessary items, we'll be having a Swap Party/Book Club Meeting! Everyone will bring over anything they don't want/need anymore (clothes, jewelry, household items, etc.) and we'll auction off the items using Monopoly money! I missed the last Swap Party my friends hosted and was really sad about it- they got some good stuff so I'm really happy I'll be able to participate in this one! I know it'll be a good time and I'm really looking forward to getting new stuff and getting rid of old stuff ;)

Sounds as if you all have the right idea. I have gotten rid of so much stuff in the last three months that I almost can see the floor in some rooms. I am ready to get rid of even more. But you all have the right way to do it. How much fun. I wonder of my friends would like to do something like that... or even come over and have a take away!
ReplyDeleteI bet they would like it! I think it'll be so much fun! We've had Swap Parties before and they're always a good time :) I just need to remember to go buy some fake money...
