Eye Growth

For the past year or so I have had a randomly appearing growth on my eye. I'm not sure why it comes and goes, maybe it's stress or allergies, but it has been appearing a lot more frequently the last few weeks. It doesn't hurt at all but I can feel it on my eye and it bothers me. My optometrist, Dr. Eric, said it was probably just a cyst. I asked my coworkers what they thought it was earlier today because it hasn't been disappearing like usual- I tend to wake up with it, which totally makes putting in my contacts a difficult task, and it magically goes away as the day progresses. They thought it was either conjunctivitus or a pterygium. I immediately did a google image search... grossy! I am very happy to report that I don't think it's either one of those but if you want to be completely and totally disgusted, I recommend the same search. I felt incredibly ill after looking at the pictures. Here's what mine looks like- it's an almost clear bump so it's kinda hard to see, wish it was as difficult to feel. Please disregard my bloodshot eye, allergies don't let me sleep :(
