Merlin Olsen died yesterday. My heart literally broke when I heard the news. Jonathan Garvey was one of my FAVORITE Little House on the Prairie characters and I always wanted to meet him because it looked like he would give the BEST hugs!!! I'm devastated that I never got the chance to test my Hug Theory. I know the Remember Me poem wasn't written by/for Jonathan but it was a very good episode and it was one of the first things I thought of when I heard he passed away.
Remember me with smiles and laughter,

My mom was also saddened by the news but was glad that Charles (Michael Landon) would have a friend in Heaven!
