It has been TEN DAYS since I last blogged! I don't feel like a whole lot has happened but that's really not the case. Take yesterday for example... I went to church for the 6th week in a row, saw a grad school professor of mine there (he's a total woman-hater so I didn't talk to him but did notice him wearing painfully saggy jeans... ewwww), witnessed a horrible car crash in front of me on I-35 (yes, I was a good citizen and pulled over and gave my cel number for the insurance companies to contact me) and the House passed the Healthcare Bill. Of those 4 major events, only one of them is even remotely good. I am quite proud of myself for going to church for 6 weeks straight! That is certainly a first for me, in my adulthood at least.
So let's see, what else has happened recently? Hmmm... Peter Graves and Fess Parker have died. They always go in 3's :( My fat brother cat is IN LOVE with me like never before! Well, really he's in love with my bed at my parent's house and has slept with me the last few times I've spent the night there. He's so my favorite napping buddy :) LT is now a New York Jet! I'm happy to have a team to support next season since I am so anti-Cowboys. I helped shoot a wedding for the first time ever on Saturday night. I'm practically a professional wedding photographer now ;) I've hated weddings my entire life and have attended way more than my fair share but I must admit, I think I finally like them now! They wore me down- I drank the nuptial kool-aid so to speak. Oh, I had my taxes done today. I was REALLY stressed about it and although I did not get a refund (wasn't expecting one but it would have been a nice surprise), I don't owe very much at all. YEAH!!!
The most wonderful happening was my renewed love for Keller, the town where I grew up and still live half of the time. There's just something about Spring that makes me miss old Keller (NOT the new mini-manisions and shopping centers but the old country homes/farms) and being little. I drove around for quite a while last week and for the first time in a long time, missed living there. I'm sure now that Spring Break is over and people's schedules are back to normal, the traffic will change my mind again ;)
