I am a facebook fan of Calloway's Nursery (one of my FAVORITE stores!) and late last week I got a notification that they were having a 50% off coupon for this past weekend. I printed off 5 with every intention of hitting up multiple stores but in the end, I only went to the one across the street from my house. I had planned on buying at least one large houseplant, ya know- to take full advantage of my coupons, but I did no such thing. I've realized that I prefer to buy baby plants and watch them grow. I've been wanting a Bromeliad for some time now and settled on a red one. I named her Scarlett :) She was $8 without the coupon and even though that's incredibly cheap, I only paid $4! I REALLY wish I would have made it back to Calloway's but last weekend was a pretty insane one- I just didn't have the time! Since I always seem to buy plants/flowers on Fridays, I have decided to call them Flower Fridays. This is my own twist on Music Mondays :) On the agenda for the next few weeks... planting Bluebonnets, our beautiful State flower!
