Easter 2010 was a HUGE success!!!!! It was a long but fabulous day! I went to church (all by my lonesome- nobody wanted to go with me. I know, WAY LAME) then met my parents for lunch at our favorite restaurant, Mercado Juarez. I decided that I just HAD to see my fatties on Easter so I went to my parent's house and took a nap with them :)
For the 2nd year in a row, we had Easter at Chez Rey. Since we do our egg hunts in the dark we had lots of time to kill. Luckily for me, I had a few things for my pops to do around the house so we got to work pruning the palm trees, cleaning the pool and fixing my garage door. I took LOTS of pictures of my plants and I am so happy that my little plant collection is growing rapidly! I also took Lynne on a field trip outside to sit by the pool since it was a cloudy day and I didn't have to worry about the harsh sun burning her. She gave me quite the scare this weekend! Yesterday we had the pest control guy come out to spray so I moved Lynne to the countertop so she wouldn't be exposed to the chemicals on the gound and I noticed A LOT of her leaves were dark brown/black. I franctically called Calloway's Nursery and talked to them about it and almost took her up there so they could see the problem firsthand but decided against it. It took me an hour and a half to prune her and if the problem persists I'll take her in but I'm pretty sure she'll be fine. Between me and Crystal she's just getting fed too often so she's back on a strict watering schedule!
My older sister and brother-in-law didn't come to town this year. It was the very first Easter we did not spend as a family and honestly, I was really upset about it but it was still an incredible day! How could it not be, it's Easter!!! Rob came over for dinner (Dickey's BBQ- yum!) and helped my parents hide the eggs again. Him and my pops are ruthless when it comes to hiding and they get worse every year! Crys claimed to have a hurt ankle so I decided to go easy on her and she still beat me! Unbelievable.
