Toxic

I received an email the other day about lead in lipstick. There's an experiment that can be done to see if lipstick contains lead so of course I did it. I'm all about experiments! This one was pretty simple- put lipstick on the back of your hand and rub it with a gold ring. If the lipstick turns black, then it contains lead. To my shock/horror, my lipstick turned black :( I immediately went to snopes.com and it said that this was "Mostly False." Well, mostly false means partly true.

I don't wear just any lipstick, mine stays on for 15 hours and I have been using the same brand for over 8 years! I tried to go without it the other day but was asked MANY times if I was sick and/or tired. Ugh. My friend, Tiffany, suggested I just get my lips tattooed since I have absolutely no pigment in them but I don't really think I could do that. What if the color I picked looked really bad on me? Or what if it got messed up and tattooed outside of my lips and I looked like a clown? No idea where to go from here...

Before

After :(
