Attention Span of a Fruit Fly

My book club meets in about 18 hours and I have STILL not read our book, The Last Lecture. I can not focus to save my life these days! We're more than a week into 2010 and I have yet to read even one book. I am so behind on my reading schedule! I'm in quite the literary funk right now and have no clue how to get out of it! I guess it doesn't help things that a Law & Order SVU marathon is on- I've watched A LOT of episodes today (and yes, I watched the last quarter of the Cowboys playoff game and because all of my friends are happy, I am too).

I realized quite a few random facts about myself that I never knew before this last week and I thought I'd share since reading seems to be completely out of the question for tonight...
*The older I get the more high maintenance I'm becoming. This is SO not okay with me but I can't seem to stop it! It's like my hair/skin/nails require expensive products now. Ugh!
*Spending time with either my friends or my friend's moms sound equally appealing to me :)
*Peep holes in doors are scary. I hope I never have a door that has one.
*I refuse to enter a room without turning on a light or using my cel phone to light my path.
*Grocery stores almost give me panic attacks. I love grocery shopping and organizing food in my fridge/pantry, but actual grocery stores are the devil (tonight was the first time I shopped in one in months, if not years). After my last encounter at Kroger tonight, I may never enter one again! I actually had to walk around the store and put things back earlier just so I could leave. It's Target or Walmart from here on out for this girl!
*I could live on orange juice with extra pulp. In fact, that's the only beverage I've consumed for the last 3 days! I'm not sure when I started loving pulp but I've become mildly obsessed with it- I like it so thick it's as if I stuck a straw in an orange itself! I know it's horrible I haven't had water but I just can't get enough OJ! My immune system must be happy.

On another note, about 1/3 of my Christmas decorations are packed away until November 1, 2010! De-trimming Christmas trees is negative fun, especially when doing it alone. It almost makes me want to never decorate again but I know by November of next year I'll be so ready to transform Chez Rey into a Winter Wonderland again!
