Save the Tatas!

As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! I have lost several loved ones to breast cancer. Even though I do not remember my grandmother very well, I have a few memories of her and think of her often. I like to think we would have been close if she wouldn't have been taken from me at such an early age. There are many things I would have liked to have learned from her if I would have had the chance. I have also lost a Great Aunt and dear family friend so I feel very strongly about supporting the awareness efforts in any capacity I can. I wish Fort Worth's Race for the Cure was this month... argh! But I guess it is good to keep interest going year round. I can't wait for the Race this April- I'm planning on organizing a team of friends and family so everyone who wants to participate can have a good time :) October is half way over so if there is any event or fundraising effort that you know of, please get involved. It is imperative that we all do whatever we can to find a cure.
