Bag Ladies

Crys and I just realized that we are BOTH bag ladies! Almost every day that I go into the office I bring with me at least 2 bags but almost always 3. Crys just described her "diaper" bag routine and it's insane! We pack our meals, take our computers, carry huge water bottles and traveling mugs for hot tea and either take a purse along, or in my case- an overnight bag that I don't like to leave in the burning heat. INSANE!

Crys was publicly made fun of during class one day. God bless her! Several of the guys were counting her belongings and commenting on how stupid it was to take so much stuff to class. Oh dear. One guy even moved away from her. It could have possibly been the grilled onions she carried in her purse or the boiled egg whites she pulled out of her lunchbox but hey, it was still rude. Can we help it that we like to be prepared for any situation? I like to have snack food with me and although I feel like I am a walking Farmer's Market, my extreme preparation has come in handy during our daily 3pm snacktimes at the office :) And I never know when a contact might suddently rip so if it weren't for taking my glasses with me, I'd really be up a creek!

Leaving the house is the hardest part of every day. Cel phone chargers, books, notebooks, textbooks, laptops, planners, snacks, meals, make up, assorted hot and cold beverages, sweaters, an extra pair of clothes, shoes & jewelry, and vitamin bottles are just everyday neccessities but a lot of things to remember when rushing out of the house. I try and keep doubles of everything I own at either my parent's or the office so that I won't carry around so much stuff but it hasn't really helped. Argh. How do women with kids manage to carry everything? It's like Me and Crys are each a small army and we only pack things for ourselves! We need bigger cars...

Case in point!
