Sibling Rivalry

This has been a really interesting week to say the least. I am saddened by the recent deaths of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and also the separation of Jon and Kate. What a horrible week for celebs! Although these are tragic events, I am most devastated about my tortoises. Bert and Ernie have officially reached maturity and are now showing aggression towards each other. Bert, the smaller of the two, is the aggressor but since he is smaller, he is the only one with injuries. I saw them fight today (crazy scary!) and thought he was bleeding from the neck but luckily he just has bruises from Ernie's gulars. Within the last week or so, he has been catapulted onto his back several times for Lord only knows how long. This is how tortoises kill each other- they flip one over and let them die in the sun. SCARY. We had to build a fence to separate them and we're going to have to build another tortoise house soon :( I can't believe my tortoises are trying to kill each other. It truly breaks my heart to think about and worries me to no end.
