Peace Lily Lynn

Tragically, on January 3rd a dear family friend, Lynn, passed away. At her funeral, the plants and flowers were given to family and friends. I instantly knew I wanted a plant and when I went to pick one out, only a few remained. Lynn's husband picked out a plant and said he thought it looked like a good one. I agreed and there was no better name for our new friend than Lynn. I could not wait to get her home- I had been wanting some life in the house and apparently pets are not an option :(

Lynn goes on daily excursions to sit by our pool but today I took her on a different kind of field trip. We went to Calloway's Nursery for the first time! I found out she is a PEACE LILY! If you know me at all then you know lilies are my absolute favey! AND peace is something I constantly strive for- I was so glad to find out she embodied 2 of my favorite things! I bought Lynn a beautiful new pot (green of course!) and some special food so she will live a long and beautiful life with me :) She is just a baby and has many wonderful years ahead. I am so honored to have Lynn and I love her dearly! She even has her very own Bible verse- Psalm 37:37, "Look at those who are honest and good for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace."
